WINERY

Doonkuna has recently expanded the winery to 1300 square metres and now contains offices and storage areas, replacing the smaller winery built in 1980.

It has also been equipped with a greater number of tanks,boosting Doonkuna’s wine production.

VINEYARD

Doonkuna has 50 acres of vines, having grown from the small 5 acre vineyard of matured and well established 38 year old vines, to a fifty acre vineyard including younger spritely 8 year old vines.

In this fifty acre vineyard, Doonkuna’s gently rising slopes nurture a number of different grape varieties, including:

Riesling;

Sauvignon Blanc;

Semillon;

Chardonnay;

Pinot Noir;

Cabernet Sauvignon;

Merlot; and

Shiraz.

Ron Enos, Doonkuna’s viticulturalist tends the vines and their fruit, adopting the most organic ways in which to care for the plants. Be sure to keep checking back to find out what happens in Doonkuna’s vineyard.
